How we measure

  1. Website, sign-in and apps: every 30 seconds, Mantel checks that everything responds correctly. If the whole service is down, the time until it is back counts as an outage. Response times are shown only as a rough range.

  2. Locations: Mantel regularly asks every location over an encrypted connection whether the VPN service is running and name resolution answers.

  3. A single failed check changes nothing. Only two failures in a row change the state, and only three good checks turn it green again.

  4. Availability: outages count in full, partial outages at 30 %, maintenance not at all. Days are in Berlin time.
